LUBBOCK, Texas — No. 23 Texas Tech had an answer every time New Mexico took a lead, scoring a pair of two-out runs in the fifth to take the lead for good on the way to a 14-10 baseball victory Tuesday over the Lobos. It was Texas Tech’s first win over UNM in the last four meetings.
The Lobos got two homers and a career-high five RBIs from Carl Stajduhar, the reigning Mountain West Conference player of the week.
And down five runs in the top of the ninth, they still brought the tying run to the plate after Stajduhar struck out.
