LAS CRUCES – During Marvin Menzies’ tenure at New Mexico State, the Aggies have two big wins over New Mexico in Albuquerque.
And coming into Wednesday’s game against the Lobos, NMSU is hoping to snap a few losing streaks with a win over UNM in the arena where the Aggies’ last non-conference road win happened. Since NMSU beat the Lobos at The Pit during the 2013-14 season, the Aggies have lost nine consecutive non-conference road games, lost three straight to the Lobos and eight straight against Mountain West Conference teams.
Wednesday is the first of two road rivalry games this week with NMSU playing at UTEP on Saturday with four of the next five games on the road for the Aggies.
