ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women's basketball team had its 2018-19 season come to an end on Thursday night in the First Round of the WNIT as they were upended by visiting University of Denver, 83-75.
Despite the season-ending loss, the 2018-19 Lobos enjoyed another successful season all-around. Their 24 wins on the year tied for the fifth-most in a season and gave the program consecutive 20-plus win campaigns for the first time since 2007-08 – 2008-09. After starting out the season 1-1, the Lobos rolled off 11-straight wins to tie the program record for longest winning streak in a season.
