It's been another season of disappointment for the New Jersey Devils. A sluggish start all but dashed their playoff hopes. While they've made some improvement over the second half of the schedule, they remain near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.
That's not what was expected of the Devils when this season began. Most NHL experts predicted they would be a playoff contender.
