DETROIT — Devils coach John Hynes said it may be beneficial for his team to play its final two games before the Christmas break on the road because it could be less of a distraction.
The Devils, who lost a shootout in Boston Sunday, face the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night at Joe Louis Arena.
"Sometimes it's nice when you're on the road and you have a quick turnaround because it's all hockey," Hynes said. "We're around the arena, had a meeting and should be focused."
The Devils are 3-1-2 in their last six road games and are 9-5-2 on the road this season.
