Defenseman Seth Helgeson was scratched from the Albany Devils' AHL game on Wednesday night, and coach Rick Kowalsky confirmed he was called up to the Devils.

Helgeson' recall could put the status of Devils defenseman and captain Andy Greene in doubt for Friday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but it's not a certainty.
Greene exited Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes after being hit by a puck in the first period.
