The Devils goalie made every effort to stop a shorthanded wraparound shot by Boston Bruins forward Tim Schaller in the closing seconds of the first period on Sunday.
But as Lack sprawled out to cover the puck on the goal line, an official signaled goal. Video review showed no conclusive evidence either way, which meant the shot with three seconds left in the frame stood as called.
