'Unexplainable experience': Newark kids get on the ice at Devils camp (PHOTOS)

NEWARK — City kids who would not otherwise have the chance to get on the ice over the summer have been skating in style for the past three days, thanks to the N.J. Devils.

The team's foundation has partnered with "Hockey in Newark," a nonprofit that runs free ice hockey leagues for underprivileged city youth, to run a summer camp on the ice. Over the past three days, about 45 kids have been at the AmeriHealth Pavilion learning skills and plays from an all-volunteer coaching staff, including Devils alums like Bruce Driver, and the team's mascot.
