The Devils shared more information today on Brodeur's retirement ceremony weekend. Fans can enter to win the privilege of adding a piece of memorabilia to the time capsule, leave a video message for the ceremony itself, or design a tribute mask in his honor.
In a press release on Thursday, the New Jersey Devils have announced "The Salute", the statue to be erected in honor of the Devils' long-time goaltender Martin Brodeur, will also serve as a time capsule. The statue will be unveiled in February on Championship Plaza, located in front of the the Prudential Center.
