Seinfeld ‘Face Painter’ surprises Devils fans for Game 4

The Devils could use the energy of one of their most prominent fans, whose famous TV character made a cameo appearance at the Prudential Center Wednesday night.

Patrick Warburton, best known for his role as David Puddy in the ’90s sitcom “Seinfeld,” brought one scene back to life from the 1995 episode “The Face Painter,” in which he paints his face red and black for the Devils playoff game against the Rangers and annoys his girlfriend Elaine, played by Julia Louis Dreyfus. He appeases her by staying away from the face paint, but instead attends the game with a “D” painted on his bare stomach, as the first member of a group spelling out “Devils” in the stands.
