Projecting Devils' opening-night roster: How Friday's cuts affect team | Locks, long shots, bubble players

Following Thursday's 5-3 win over the Winnipeg Jets at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg, the Devils made more significant roster cuts on Friday, reassigning defenseman Ty Smith to his junior team in the WHL and sending forwards Brett Seney and Kevin Rooney to Binghamton in the AHL.

With the waiver claim of Jean-Sebastian Dea, the roster still stands at 26 players, and three more roster moves will need to be made before the deadline to set the 23-player team on Tuesday.
