If his appearance on the broadcast means anything, the New Jersey Devils won't be seeing Brett Pesce back on the ice playing for them anytime soon.
During Thursday night's 4-3 overtime win over the Montreal Canadiens, the broadcast cut to Pesce sitting in the press box checking out his phone. What was revealed, however, was that Pesce was sporting a rather significant cast that was covering his entire left hand, aside from his thumb, and at least part of his wrist.
Pesce, 30, was placed on injured reserve Thursday to make room for center Cody Glass, who scored against the Canadiens after returning from an injury of his own.
