Mistakes doom Devils in road loss to Flyers | Rapid reaction

PHILADELPHIA -- John Hynes wanted his team to be plugged in. The Devils weren't on Saturday.

The Devils, playing in a true road game for the first time all season, made too many mistakes Saturday afternoon at Wells Fargo Center and the Flyers, at long last, made them pay.

On a day when the Devils' bench ran short, New Jersey found itself consistently on the penalty kill and never gained any type of rhythm in a 5-2 loss to the Flyers. It was the Devils' second straight loss after opening the season with four consecutive wins.
