Marian Studenic appeared to be saving his best for last for the Hamilton Bulldogs.
After scoring one goal in 18 OHL playoff games, the Devils prospect netted a pair during three round-robin games at the 2018 CHL Memorial Cup.
Studenic has three goals and 12 assists through 21 postseason games with Hamilton, which pulled a surprise upset to win the OHL playoffs, beating the heavily favored Soo Greyhounds in six games in the finals.
That upset made Hamilton one of four teams playing for the Memorial Cup, the most coveted trophy in Canadian junior hockey, and it helped prolong the season for one of the Devils' 2017 draft picks.
