Former New Jersey Devils forward abruptly quits Sharks management job

On Sunday, it was announced that former New Jersey Devils forward Ryane Clowe had resigned from his post as an assistant general manager with the San Jose Sharks after just 14 months on the job.

Clowe, 42, was hired by the Sharks on July 3, 2024, but resigned on Sunday, citing "the best interest of my family" in a statement. Before joining the Sharks, the team that drafted him back in 2001, Clowe spent three years with the New York Rangers, including two as a hockey operations advisor.
