SUNRISE, Fla. — Pavel Zacha, the Czech center selected sixth overall by the Devils in Friday’s first round of the NHL Draft, has a 12-year-old picture he intends to bring with him to training camp in September.
“When Patrik Elias won the Cup [in 2003] he brought it to home to Czech and to his hometown of Trebic, where I was playing for a youth hockey team,” said Zacha, who played last season for Sarnia of the OHL. “I have a picture with him and the Cup that I’m going to bring with me to camp and ask him to sign.
