The Devils and Minnesota Wild completed a minor-league trade on Wednesday, with the Devils sending AHL defenseman Viktor Loov to the Wild in exchange for forwards Mario Lucia and Christoph Bertschy.
All three players were assigned to their new AHL clubs following the trade.
Both Lucia and Bertschy have played primarily in the AHL this season, although Bertschy did make one appearance in the NHL.
Bertschy has one assist in nine NHL games over his career after being a sixth-round pick by the Wild in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Lucia has not made his NHL debut after being selected 60th overall by the Wild in the 2011 NHL Draft.
