It seems 2019 is going to be a big year for former New England Revolution coaches and players.
Former coaches Jay Heaps and Tommy Soehn have already started building expansion USL side Birmingham Legion as general manager and head coach respectively, now they’ll be getting some coaching help from another familiar face.
Khano Smith, former Bermuda international and NWSL Orlando Pride assistant coach has joined the staff at Birmingham which we might as well rename “Revolution South” at this point. The Legion’s first game and home opener will be March 9th against Bethlehem Steel FC.
