Revs hire Chris Tierney as player recruitment manager

Chris Tierney has returned to the New England Revolution to serve as the club’s player recruitment manager.

Tierney, 33, played 11 seasons with his hometown club before retiring in Nov. 2018. He helped the Revs lift the 2008 North American SuperLiga championship and made appearances in the 2014 MLS Cup and 2016 U.S. Open Cup finals.

“It is always a great moment for our club anytime there is an opportunity to bring one of our former players back in a new role. Chris was a great player, teammate and ambassador for the Revolution on and off the field during his time as a player and we’re thrilled to have him join the front office,” Revolution President Brian Bilello said in a team press release.
