The New England Revolution have traded Charlie Davies to the Philadelphia Union, per a team press release.
As part of the trade, the Revs will receive general allocation money, targeted allocation money, and the Union's natural first-round pick in the 2018 SuperDraft. Meanwhile, the Union will get Davies and the Revolution's natural third-round pick in the 2018 SuperDraft.
The trade was proposed by the Union and only completed with the consent of Davies.
"When this was brought to us, we talked directly with Charlie. It was important to do what was right for Charlie and his family.
