The New England Revolution are expecting to announce a new acquisition soon, according to head coach Bruce Arena.
During a virtual press conference held on Wednesday, Arena was asked about his midfield options since Luis Caicedo will miss the season in order to recover from a surgery on his right knee. The coach named Diego Fagundez, Kelyn Rowe, Scott Caldwell, and Wilfried Zahibo before saying that a new face could arrive soon.
“We’ll probably add an additional player this week,” Arena remarked.
The comment comes on the same day that The Daily Record reported that Matt Polster has signed a multiyear contract with the Revolution.
