They don’t get to participate in the pregame huddle and they’ll never step foot on the field, but the New England Revolution recognize that their fans have a large affect on the game. This is why the players have introduced a post-game sign of appreciation that they hope will become a tradition.
After the final whistle of Saturday’s win over Minnesota United FC, Revs players walked over to the Fort, which is home to some of the team’s most dedicated supporters. The players then collectively clapped twice, inviting the fans to do the same.
