In honor of National Roast Day, Wendy’s, a fast food restaurant who has become well-known for their digital jabs, offered to dole out insults to all comers. The New England Revolution expressed interest and the results weren’t particularly good for the soccer team.
Wendy’s decided to compare the Revs to the New England Patriots, noting that they have won a few championships. The Revs, of course, have been to five MLS Cup Finals, but have yet to win the ultimate prize.
The insult isn’t particularly unique since the Revs’ championship drought has been well-documented.
