New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner collected his first professional win on Saturday night, helping the Richmond Kickers (USL) to a 1-0 win over Toronto FC II.
Turner was loaned to the Kickers after the club's usual starter Ryan Taylor suffered a season-ending injury against the Charlotte Independence. The Kickers' back-up is 18-year-old Richmond United Academy player Sawyer Gaffney.
Turner started on Saturday and collected five save en route to earning a clean sheet. One of his biggest stops occurred when he denied forward Sal Bernal's bid from inside the box.
