Revolution Goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. Undergoes Successful Arthroscopic Knee Surgery

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. underwent a successful arthroscopic debridement of his left knee on Wednesday morning. The procedure was performed by Dr. Scott Martin at Brigham & Women’s /Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough, Mass. Edwards is expected to return to action in approximately four-to-six weeks.

Edwards, 29, joined New England in December 2020 as a free agent after six MLS seasons with D.C. United and Orlando City SC. The six-foot-three goalkeeper owns more than 50 professional appearances across all competitions, including extensive action in the USL Championship – most recently with D.
