A week ago their were rumors that several Serie A teams were interested in bringing Diego Fagundez to Italy. While the rumors were likely untrue, perhaps the New England Revolution decided to take no chances on their first ever homegrown player.
Per Frank Dell'Apa of the Boston Globe, who's never wrong about these things but the team has not confirmed the news or announced it on their website, the Revs have signed Fagundez to a multi-year contract extension. Though the specific salary details were not announced, Dell'Apa says it is a three-year years plus a fourth option year.
