Although not lacing up the boots, Sunday was an important day for the New England Revolution as playoff implications were on the line as NYCFC hosted second-place Nashville SC at Red Bull Arena.
Nashville entered the match trailing the Revs by 19 points, meaning an NYCFC win or draw would give the Revolution the top seat in the East with over a month to go in the regular season.
It was an excellent first half from a Revolution perspective as NYCFC held the Nashville offense in check while also looking dangerous at times against a powerful Nashville defense.
