The New England Revolution play FC Dallas in their second MLS regular season game of 2017 later this evening.
The Revs had an unexpected bye week thanks to a winter storm forcing the postponement of their match last week at home against Orlando City SC. Dallas meanwhile played midweek in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals, with Kellyn Acosta’s second half free kick goal proving the difference in a 2-1 win over Pachuca.
New England is looking to avoid an 0-2 start to the season, but with two road games against tough Western Conference opponents, it’s understandable that they might have to wait until their actual home opener versus Minnesota for their season’s first result.
