Revolution Acquire $100,000 in General Allocation Money from Portland Timbers

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution have acquired $100,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from the Portland Timbers in exchange for the rights to defender Claude Dielna. In the event Dielna appears on any MLS roster other than Portland’s in 2019, New England will receive an additional $100,000 in GAM from Portland.

Dielna, 31, departs New England after making 28 MLS appearances, including 26 starts, since joining the Revolution in July 2017. In 2018, the French defender made 17 appearances and 15 starts, totaling 1,334 minutes played in league play. New England declined Dielna’s contract option following the 2018 campaign on Nov.
