Revolution 4, Galaxy 3: Goal galore as Revs end losing streak

The New England Revolution outscored the LA Galaxy 4-3 to collect their first win since June 3. The result halted the Revs’ losing streak at four and put them even in the standings with the Philadelphia Union.

Kei Kamara almost nabbed a goal in the 11th minute when he tried to chip goalkeeper Brian Rowe from distance. Kamara created the opportunity for himself by muscling Gio Dos Santos at midfield. The striker then took a few touches before making a bid that narrowly sailed over the crossbar.

The Revs put themselves ahead five minutes later when Lee Nguyen grabbed a loose ball that emerged when Jelle Van Damme battered Kelyn Rowe.
