Playing for the third time in eight days, the Revolution cruised to a 3-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday night, riding goals from Benjamin Angoua, Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo to a convincing home victory.
In the first half, the Revs immediately got off on the front foot, using a high press to rattle Toronto’s back three. Unable to maintain possession—or string more than a few passes together at a time—the Reds conceded a handful of goal-scoring chances in the first 15 minutes.
The Revs took advantage in the 18th minute, when Angoua buried a free header off a well-placed corner from Lee Nguyen.
