Revolution 2, Union 0: Revs down DOOP to dance ins the MLS Playoffs

The New England Revolution entered Tuesday’s match against the Philadelphia Union as the clear underdog against the 2020 Supporters’ Shield winners. Before the match, the Revolution had gone winless against the Union in five tries. Their most recent meeting went differently as the Revs secured a 2-0 win.

Bruce Arena made one change to the Revolution’s starting XI as Scott Caldwell came on in place of Tommy McNamara. Arena stuck with the 4-2-3-1 formation that brought the team success during the play-in round against Montreal.

The Revs came close to scoring in the 13th minute, but the ball was deflected out of bounds.
