After threatening Crew SC’s net through a series of set pieces, the Revs conceded in the 8th minute. In what was the visitors' first meaningful look on goal, Justin Meram marched up the left side and played a ball across the box. The pass alluded the Revs back line, allowing Ethan Finlay to score a tap-in at the far post.
