Report: Revs to play Chelsea in charity match

The New England Revolution are looking to host Chelsea FC next spring, according to ESPN.

Revolution Owner/Operator Robert Kraft announced the charity match during an event in New York on Wednesday night. While being honored by the World Jewish Congress, Kraft stated that his soccer team will play Roman Abramovich’s team in an event meant to “raise awareness of the evils of anti-semitism as well as to raise significant funds to combat it.” Ticket sales will benefit the cause.

The Revs currently employ former Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne, who signed with the Premier League team in 2006.
