This week the New England Revolution signed two international center backs in Antonio Delamea and Benjamin Angoua. The moves prompted us to track down John Lozano, a Colombian defender that signed with the Revs in 2012.
Career with the Revolution
Lozano arrived in New England after nine years as a professional in his home country. Although not a big name, the signing had promise, as Lozano was a young player (27 at the time) with good size (6’2, 180 lbs). In a press release, General Manager Michael Burns touted Lozano as a “a strong central defender who reads the game well.
