Recap | Revs pick up first home win of the season, 3-1 over Montreal Impact

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (4-3-6, 18 pts.) defeated the Montreal Impact, 3-1, at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday evening behind goals from Henry Kessler, Gustavo Bou, and Diego Fagundez. Kessler opened his MLS account in first-half stoppage time, before Bou and Fagundez tripled the host’s lead on the other side of the break. Montreal’s Lassi Lappalainen pulled one back for the Impact in the 86th minute, snapping the Revolution’s bid for a second-consecutive clean sheet.

Kessler, selected by New England with the sixth-overall pick in January’s SuperDraft, scored his first career goal by collecting a rebound off a corner kick and slotting a right-footed shot inside the near post.
