RECAP: Revolution Play Chicago Fire to 2-2 Draw

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution (8-10-11, 35 pts.) played the Chicago Fire (7-15-7, 28 pts.) to a 2-2 draw before a crowd of 24,388 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. Scott Caldwell and Cristian Penilla were the goal scorers for the Revolution, tallying in the 62nd and 70th minutes, respectively. Fire midfielder Aleksandar Katai opened the scoring for the visitors with a 19th-minute goal, and Michael Mancienne recorded an own goal in the 67th minute. Tonight's result leaves the Revolution five points behind the Montreal Impact for the sixth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with a game in hand.
