Recap | Revolution drop preseason match to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 2-0

PORTLAND, Ore. – The New England Revolution fell to Vancouver Whitecaps FC, 2-0, in a preseason match at Providence Park on Wednesday evening. Lucas Cavallini and Ali Adnan provided the scoring for Vancouver in the second of three games the Revolution will play as part of the Portland Timbers’ preseason tournament.

The Revolution deployed a starting lineup that featured four Academy alumni, with veterans Diego Fagundez and Scott Caldwell playing alongside first-year midfielder Damian Rivera and Massachusetts native Justin Rennicks. They were supported along the backline by two of the club’s 2020 MLS SuperDraft selections in Henry Kessler, who made his third start and fourth appearance of his rookie preseason, and Simon Lekressner.
