Despite having less than 50 career starts for the Revolution, Matt Turner has quickly become a fan favorite among supporters over the last few years. His rise to notoriety in the soccer community took a leap earlier in the year when he was called into the USMNT camp, and Revs fans are undoubtedly hopeful that he will see game action for the National Team in the near fuutre.
Turner’s last second save on Thursday night to secure the 1-0 victory in the Revs first game of the group stage in the MLS is Back tournament is just another notch in his belt, and with the roster around him finally taking shape this season, I expect to see him help the team advance in the tournament and hopefully bring home a few more clean sheets.
