Kei Kamara has been traded to the Vancouver Whitecaps in exchange for Vancouver's 2019 natural first-round SuperDraft pick and a conditional 2020 natural second-round SuperDraft pick.
Kamara, 33, joined the New England Revolution on May 12, 2016 after a year and half with Columbus Crew SC. Many Revs fans were excited about the prospect of Kamara playing alongside the likes of Chris Tierney, Lee Nguyen, and Kelyn Rowe. Reality didn’t match expectations, as Kamara only nabbed 19 goals in 52 appearances. The Revs missed the playoffs both seasons Kamara was on their roster.
