Jermaine Jones has been traded to the Colorado Rapids for their natural first-round pick in 2017 MLS SuperDraft and general allocation money, according to a team press release.
Jones, 34, joined the New England Revolution as a Designated Player on Aug. 24, 2014. The U.S. international had an immediate impact on the Revs, helping the team to their first MLS Cup appearance since 2007. Jones contributed three goals and six assists in 15 appearances across all competitions in his first MLS season.
