NEW YORK (Thursday, April 22, 2021) – The Independent Review Panel, consisting of one representative from the U.S. Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one independent representative nominated by the Professional Referee Organization, has denied New England Revolution’s appeal of the red card issued to defender DeJuan Jones in the 92+ minute of New England’s match against Chicago Fire FC on April 17.
As a result of the denied appeal, Jones is not eligible to play in New England’s next regular season game on Saturday, April 24, against D.
