Henry Kessler: “One hundred percent a penalty”

The New England Revolution were able to walk away with a 1-0 win over D.C. United in Saturday’s home opener but it wasn’t without controversy.

A corner kick was sent into the box and Henry Kessler ended up going down in the box. There was a brief pause but no foul was called and Kessler was not pleased. He was protesting for New England to be awarded a penalty kick.

But that call wouldn’t come and the Revolution had to continue to defend their one goal lead. Luckily New England was able to get the three points, but this no call had the potential to cost the Revs some points.
