FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Four new signings, three SuperDraft picks and an MLS veteran trialist have the New England Revolution’s preseason roster at 25 players, but head coach Brad Friedel said there’s more to come as the squad continues to take shape throughout the coming weeks and months.
Friedel said international additions Cristian Penilla, Gabriel Somi and Wilfried Zahibo are “big additions” to his first-ever roster, and the Revs hope to make “two-to-three more big additions” as preseason unfolds.
“We’re getting there,” Friedel said. “We’ve said it since the day that I was hired; we want to create competition at every position.
