The New England Revolution will be adding a Designated Player, according to head coach Brad Friedel.
In mid-February, Friedel told MLSSoccer.com that he intends to make an “elite, overseas” addition. On Thursday, Friedel reaffirmed that plan, saying that he’s still looking to add “one or two” players.
“We will be bringing in another Designated Player,” Friedel said during an interview with Zolak and Bertrand. “I think it’s very, very important that we sign the right one [and] not just sign one. Our top three targets that we’re looking at are still there and are still available.
