FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – A little more than three years ago Andrew Farrell became the first top overall SuperDraft pick in New England Revolution history. On Saturday afternoon, he became the 25th player to make 100 regular-season appearances for the club.
Farrell hit the century mark about as quickly as he could, starting 100 of the Revolution’s 106 games since he joined the team ahead of the 2013 season. That might explain why it feels like the young defender hasn’t been a professional soccer player long enough to be hitting such milestones.
“Time flies when you’re having fun,” Farrell said about making his 100th appearance in the draw with New York City FC.
