We're only one game into the 2016 season and there's already a bit of controversy.
Just before halftime of the New England Revolution's game against the Houston Dynamo, Lee Nguyen went down in the penalty box, apparently due to contact from left back DaMarcus Beasley. Referee Jose Carlos Rivero didn't see it that way and elected to award a goal kick.
The non-call was a big one as Houston scored on the next play. The goal came from a long ball that the Revs struggled to deal with. Miscommunication between Jose Goncalves and Bobby Shuttleworth allowed Cristian Maidana to score his first of 2016.
