There was hope that the New England Revolution could build on the first 75 minutes of their last match against Seattle, which saw them take a 3-0 lead on the defending MLS champs.
Ola Kamara didn’t even need 15 minutes to extinguish those happy thoughts.
The new Kamara in Columbus scored the first and assisted on the second to Federico Higuain as the Columbus Crew led from start to finish in a 2-0 victory at MAPFRE Stadium.
In the 13th minute the Crew stormed forward on a counter attack with Justin Meram leading the way.
