Revolution fans have had to be patient when it comes to Christian Mafla, but after his first game with the club, it’s safe to say that the wait was worth it.
Mafla had a late start to the preseason as he picked up an injury. He was able to play in just a few preseason games for New England.
Mafla actually started the season with Revs II just so he could get some minutes to build up his fitness. This made DeJuan Jones the starter for the 2021 season opener.
But in New England’s home opener, Mafla finally made his regular season MLS debut.
