Carles Gil out for 3-5 months after Achilles surgery

Carles Gil has had a rollercoaster of a 2020 season (and that was before a global pandemic). New England Revolution fans had their stomachs drop when they heard the latest update on Gil.

It was announced that Gil would miss 3-5 months after getting surgery to fix an Achilles injury on Tuesday. The surgery was performed in Spain and now the Revs are without the lifeblood of the team.

Ever since coming to New England from Spain, Gil has performed well. In his debut season he became the first player in club history to win the Newcomer of the Year award after scoring 10 goals as well as 14 assists.
